I had the exact same question... as far as I know there is no way because the frames split up the image even if put down before frames are created. What you have to do is either slice up the image in Adobe or whatever your are using and put the certain sliced images in the frame you would like. What I did though was made a top frame and an image for it in Adobe. Then I made a left frame with an image in there. On and on, but I just set the background to a dark grey (#333333). I created each image seperately. Hope I helped, I should have a site soon myself. Good luck with yours.
