Thanks for responding to my question Darryl. The background on my web page has a color and pattern, so when I insert my button with a dropshasow as a .gif, there is a white outline around the dropshadow. When I insert my button as a .jpg there is a white box around the entire button. If my page didn't have a pattern, I could change the color of my background layer in Photoshop. This is such a pain!
