If you want to select multiple layers to move at the same time, in your layers palette, click the first layer that you want to group. Then click the empty square to the right of the "eyeball" in the layers palette next to the layer you want to group with it. This will "link" the two layers together. If there are other layers you want to add to that group, click the link box next to them as well. Then you can move them all at the same time.
