Hi Jennifer. Click File > Preferences > Units & Rulers. (Depending on your verison of Photoshop, the Preferences may be on a different menu.) In the Units & Rulers box, you can change all these settings. If you can't change the units, or don't want to, you could always try typing in a very large number as your text size when you use the Text Tool. If EVERYTHING fails to fix the problem, just reinstall Photoshop.
