Hi Dave. I don't know much about Dreamweaver, but I do know how to make a sliver. Just take a 1-pixel vertical slice of your image in Photoshop. In your web editor (Dreamweaver in this case), just put in a one-cell table, with a width of 100%. Put your main image in that cell, and set the sliver as its background.
