Hi Disturbed :) If the Halo effect that you're meaning is the blue-white effect found on the official website, just type in your text and follow these steps: Set your foreground colour to an appropraite blue, and your background to white or very light grey.) Then double-click on that layer in the layers list. Give it a Bevel, of about 2 pixels in size. Also choose Gradient Overlay. Set the angle so that the gradient points north-south. Click on the little coloured gradient bar, and choose Foreground to Background. Press OK. :)
