Hi :) I moved this post here, and gave it an appropriate title, as it was taked onto an irrelevant post. :) Okay, as you know, only gifs can have transparent areas. However, they can't have partly-transparent pixels. This means that the transition from your image to the transparent area is very obvious, and looks jagged. What I would suggest you do is make two different screws, one with a coloured background, and one with a transparent background. It's unfortunate, but gifs are just painful.
