Hi Bill. You could do it with the eraser tool, but you wouldn't want to. A better way to delete the background areas is by using the Freeform Pen Tool. Have a look at the Separating an image from its background tutorial. http://pegaweb.com/tutorials/separation/separate-image-from-background.htm
