Hi again. I'm not exactly sure what you want to do here, but if you want to make a luminous semi-circle, this would do the trick. Select a circular area, then cut half of it off. (I think holding Alt while you select subtracts from the selection.) Put a black and white radial gradient across the area, and change the Opacity to Normal or Overlay. I can't guarantee what this will do, but if you provide me with some more information, I might be able to come up with some more ideas :)
