Hi Ryan :) I can recognise what HTML does from looking at it, but I don't think I could code it. If you're doing back-end stuff, knowing HTML is essential, but for most people, that's not the case. It certainly wouldn't hurt to know HTML, but it's not something you want to invest time in unless you need to.
