Hi Vash. When Photoshop saves an image, it saves the whole canvas. You can either start with a smaller image size, or you can Crop the image. To do this, use the Selection Tool to select only the area you want to keep, and then click Image > Crop. This will get rid of everything outside the selected area. Be very careful that you don't cut into your shadow when doing this, as it will look obvious. (A good way to crop to the smallest possible area is to use the Magic Wand tool, set it to "Use All Layers", Tolerance 0, and click on the white area around your picture. Then press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert your selection. Then Crop as usual.)
